Finished with the app?

You're a winner!

You're done! You're truly a winner.

Consider yourself a winner

You've worked long and hard to submit your app, and now you are done. Your decision should arrive in the mail in 4 to 6 weeks. Now there's absolutely nothing you can do except to wait and keep doing whatever you were doing in school - being active in the clubs, activities, and sports that you truly enjoy doing and to keep excelling in school! After all, you are defined by what you enjoy doing. Don't worry! When you are really enjoying your time, time will fly by really quickly and before you know it, your decision will arrive in the mail.

If you are accepted

The letter you will recieve from us will indicate clearly whether you have been accepted into NHS. If you are, well then give yourself a pat in the back. You're now in the most prestigious club in Troy High School. (sorry Project LEAD!) In your official acceptance letter, you should also recieve information about the induction ceremony that is usually scheduled to occur in early December. All NHS inductees are required to be part of this very important event that celebrates all that you've done during your three years in THS.

If you are denied

We are really sorry to say this, but we cannot always accept everyone. Being rejected from NHS is not the end of the world, and it is not a requirement for acceptance into college. You can always try again for admission in your senior year. Please keep on excelling and being active in school, and if you would like to know about how to boost your chances of admission, please talk to Mrs. Ennis in Room 134.

In any case, consider this the appetizer of what is to come. There is still much more ahead of you, and now that you're done with your NHS app, you are now one step closer to college.

And no matter where you end up, we wish you good luck!
